Privacy statement De Liermolen

1. Who is responsible?
The data controller for guests of De Liermolen is Heemschut vzw (the MOT – Museum of Older Techniques), Guldendal 20, 1850 Grimbergen, Belgium, BE 0416.131.780. Day-to-day management, bookings and guest communication are carried out by Slow Heritage (Montelimax BV), Geestenspoor 57, 2180 Ekeren, Belgium, BE 0662.960.158, acting as processor. Questions about your data: info@liermolen.be.
2. Which data do we process?
- Identity and contact details: name, address, email address, telephone number, language.
- Booking details: dates of stay, number of guests, price, payment status, special requests and your communication with us.
- Payment details: processed by our payment provider; we do not see full card numbers.
- Legally required registration data: for stays in Belgium we are obliged to register certain identity details of guests and to provide them to the competent authorities on request.
- Technical data when you use the website and the booking module: IP address, browser type and usage data (see section 6).
3. Why and on which legal basis?

4. With whom do we share data?
Only with parties needed to organise your stay: our reservation system (Hostaway), the payment provider (Stripe), the website host (Netlify), the booking platform you may have booked through, the cleaning team (dates and number of guests only) and, where the law requires it, the authorities. Some of these providers process data outside the EU, on the basis of safeguards approved by the European Commission. We do not sell data.
5. How long do we keep data?
Booking and invoicing data: 7 years (accounting retention obligation). Registration data: the statutory period. Communication without a booking: at most 1 year. Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe.
6. Cookies
The website www.liermolen.be itself does not place tracking or marketing cookies. When the page loads, fonts are retrieved from Google Fonts, which transmits your IP address to Google. The booking module (booking.liermolen.be, provided by Hostaway) uses functional cookies and asks your consent for other cookies through its own cookie banner.
7. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Send your request to info@liermolen.be; we reply within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, www.dataprotectionauthority.be.
8. Security and changes
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. This statement may be updated; the version on www.liermolen.be is the applicable one.
